Hammersmith & Fulham Community Energy
- Share Offer Successful!
Bringing a cleaner and brighter future to your community!
Hammersmith & Fulham Community Energy (HFCE) has now completed its first Community Share Offer. Read on to find out about the offer and the benefits it brings to our community below.
Why we were raising funds
- HFCE was raising £106.5k to bring the 270 solar panels installed at Jack Tizard School into community ownership.
- The panels will save 446 tonnes of carbon emissions over the lifetime of the project and raise money to fund community initiatives.
- The panels have been installed with support from Repowering London, which has been working to bring locally-owned clean energy to communities for more than 10 years.
- Learn full details of the project and the investment opportunity, including any Risk Factors, in the Share Offer Document.
Make a difference. Not just an investment.
Community energy co-ops are owned by their members, so an investment in the co-op supports a people-powered energy transition.
An investment as little as £50* supports a greener and fairer energy system in the borough. Investors in HFCE’s community share offer also:
- Receive a target 3% return on their investment
- Help generate clean energy that cuts the borough’s carbon emissions and the school’s energy bill
- Become a member with a voice on how the co-op is run and what it does with its profits to further benefit the community.
*H&F residents only. Standard minimum investment is £100.

What are community shares?
Community shares are a flexible and inclusive way to raise finance that are only issued by co-operatives and community benefit societies. Check out our FAQs to learn more about how they work.
Powering communities.
Empowering people.
HFCE brings real benefits to Hammersmith & Fulham, but also to each member. Members:
- Have opportunities to take on a leadership role, building their CV and confidence
- Get access to free community events, training and skills sharing opportunities
- Become part of a like-minded community that wants to take practical climate action
- Are part of building green job skills in Hammersmith & Fulham and giving more people a part in the move to a low-carbon future.

How it all started
Hammersmith & Fulham Community Energy was created by a group of H&F residents. With the support of Repowering London, they established the Community Benefit Society, carried out solar feasibility studies in local buildings and started telling their neighbours about the project.
HFCE’s mission is to develop democratically led, community-owned sustainable energy projects that empower the local community and reduce carbon emissions.
Together with you, HFCE will build a clean, local and affordable energy future for everyone in Hammersmith & Fulham. Find out more about HFCE here, including details of its volunteer Directors, or contact us on 07546 237132 or email hfcommunityenergy@gmail.com.

HFCE is supported by Repowering London, a social enterprise that specialises in co-creating and supporting community energy projects.
