Repowering London is looking for 20 households on Roupell Park Estate or nearby to take part in a research project. The “Home Monitoring for Wellbeing” project aims to improve air quality and energy efficiency in your home. This can help to support your health and reduce your energy bills.

What is the Home Monitoring for Wellbeing Project?

It’s an 18-month project that started in February 2022. Some aspects of the project are new or in development. We are looking for people who want to give their opinions about what works well and what doesn’t. This will help us create a service that can help more people like you in the future.

The project is funded by Impact on Urban Health, part of Guy’s and St Thomas’ Foundation. This project is listed on their website, which you can visit here.

You could be part of the Home Monitoring for Wellbeing Project if at least one person living in your home is:

  • Under 13 years old OR
  • Over 65 years old OR
  • Has an existing heart and lung health condition (e.g. asthma).*

*If you do not meet this criteria, but are still interested in participating, please contact us anyway to discuss possibilities for being involved.

Repowering London is offering a range of benefits including:

  • A free monitoring and advice service for air quality and energy use to help improve your health and reduce your energy bills
  • Up to £1000 budget per household for Repowering to install any helpful equipment to improve energy efficiency and/or air quality
  • £100 for participating in the project
  • £40 per research engagement/feedback session attended.

How does it work?

Once you have registered your interest, we will contact you with more information. We will then visit you to check that you and your home are suitable for the project. If appropriate, we will install small monitoring devices in homes. The exact specification will depend on your home. Our equipment will not use your internet and we will cover any energy costs involved.

After 3, 6 and 9 months, we will tell you about the findings. We will give you advice on any changes you can choose to make to improve air quality and energy efficiency, and support you to make relevant interventions using your household budget.
